More than 11,000 men; dads, partners, brothers, grandads and mates die from prostate cancer every year.
The most common cancer in men is prostate cancer. The cancer tends to affect men aged 50 and over. Worryingly, it’s on the rise with the incidence of it increasing by 41% since the 1990s. Projections indicate it might yet rise by a further 12% by 2035. One in eight men in the UK will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetime. Men are on the March in March with the 11,000 steps per day “Prostate Cancer UK” fund raising challenge. Our Vice-President Kenneth Masters is up for the challenge by walking from Arlingham Cross to Fretherne Bridge and back to Arlingham on each day and every day of the month. The 10K per day walking challenge at 17-18 minutes per mile pace will be more than enough to equate to 11,000 steps per day throughout March, estimated 150 miles. Please help Ken to reach his £500 target; please donate by searching www.justgiving.com/Kenneth-Masters5 to access his official fundraising page.
Your sponsor donation will be so very much appreciated, thank you.
