Share Scheme: It is not too late
January 1, 2000
[image2]As we move into December I would like to wish all Gasheads a happy Christmas and prosperous New Year and special thanks also to all Share Scheme Members for your continued support. Today we welcome Swindon which is a local derby so hopefully it will generate that special atmosphere. Hopefully the Blackthorn Ultras can ‘pump up the volume’ and out sing our Wiltshire rivals. We are not number 12 on the team sheet for no reason!
It’s not too late to join the Share Scheme and have your name on the ‘roll of honour’ which is to be displayed in the Supporters’ Bar of the rebuilt Memorial Stadium. Get you name added to those who have helped our club at the time it was needed most. You will also be entered into our match day draw for a signed shirt. In 2010 we will continue to strive towards the primary objectives of the Share Scheme, which are to maximize its shareholding on behalf of the Supporters Club and income into the football club. This will ensure that, through the Supporters Club, a sufficient shareholding is held to influence any major Football Club boardroom decision. We have two full directors which has been achieved through the Share Scheme.
With the Share Scheme due to finish in a year’s time we are planning for its successor and we would welcome any suggestions from fans.
