Fans Of The Future
January 1, 2000
Just a reminder that Rovers are offering children under the age of 11 free admission to home fixtures against Stockport County, Notts County, Rushden & Diamonds and Boston United when accompanied by an adult. So the first game is next Saturday against Stockport!
Rovers have responded to the Football League’s ‘Fans Of The Future’ initiative in a bid to encourage more youngsters to get behind the Gas. Representatives of Rovers will be visiting schools in the region over the next few weeks to hand out application forms for free tickets. Children in school year six and below will qualify for the scheme.
To take advantage of the offer, children will have to be accompanied to the games by a paying adult, with applications restricted to two children per adult. The areas of ground eligible for the adult and juveniles are the Family Terrace and South Stand.
The tickets can also be obtained by all Gasheads who want to take advantage of Fans of the Future, by calling or visiting Pirate Leisure or 199, but cannot be obtained on the day of the match, they have to be pre-booked. You will be asked for details like names and address and school attended, so we can build up a database of young supporters and keep in touch with them.
Our season ticket holders can also participate in Fans of The Future. If you are already a season ticket holder in the Family Terrace or South Stand and want to participate in FotF – ring up or visit Pirate Leisure or 199 and order your free FotF ticket for 1 or 2 kids. If you are in the South Stand you may want to exchange your current seat for that match if there is no room next to you for the kids.
If you are a season ticket holder elsewhere in the stadium you would have to exchange your season ticket voucher for that match when collecting your adult and free FotF ticket. There may be an upgrade charge , for example if you were a Bass Terrace season ticket holder and wanted to go in the South Stand.
