Gasheads should be proud that Cancer Research UK used Rovers to launch their 10km walk on 30th October, as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
A photoshoot was held at the Memorial Stadium featuring caretaker manager Paul Trollope and caretaker assistant John Anderson sporting our famous pink kit. Also pictured are Gas Girls Helen Done and Louise Hutton from the Bristol Academy Womens Premier League team.

Penny Beare, from Cancer Research UK praised Rovers fans for their support of breast cancer research through the limitied edition pink shirts, which raised over £5,000 for the charity. She also thanked the Supporters Club for the innovative idea of the pink and blue wristbands which again is raising money for the research programme. She added, “we hope the pink shirts and wristbands help promote breast cancer awareness month generally across Bristol, and especially the 10Km walk which will take place in the extra hour gained on Sunday 30th October as the clocks go back”. It will be
a great chance for Gasheads to take part in the walk sporting their pink shirts and raising some sponsorship at the same time.
