Ray Kendall Obituary
December 24, 2005
The supporters club was saddened to hear of the passing of Ray Kendall today aged 76 following a heart attack on Thursday night.
Supporters Club chairman John Malyckyj had the following tribute to pay to Ray.
Ray’s passing marks the end of an era in Rovers history. His contribution to the club was unique and he will be missed by all those who knew him. Even though he had retired he continued to help out both the football club and the supporters club right up until his passing today.
Ray had the priceless quality of being everybody’s friend whether they knew him personally or not and always had a kind word for any supporter whether he knew them or not. Those of us with longer memories will recall his time as PA at Eastville. He was to many the voice of Bristol Rovers. We extend our condolences to Rays family and close friends at this difficult time.
There will be a one minute’s silence as a mark of respect before the match on Boxing Day.
