Scooter Draw Update
March 11, 2006
Ticket sales for the Supporters Club Season Long Super-Draw continue to do well, with literally thousands sold already.
Members may remember receiving scooter tickets as part of their Supporters Club news package back in December. If you have not yet returned these, please could you do so when you next visit the stadium. If you had planned to sell them on our behalf, we appreciate that and please could you return the stubs and any money received once you have done so.
Whilst the scooter has received quite a lot of publicity, making the local news and appearing on Soccer night, it is possbile you may have missed the specially customised ‘Breeze’ mountain bike that features as our second prize. During a photo shoot, I asked Young Pirate Ben Trotman age10, to try it for size and pose for the camera. He was really impressed and hopes to win it for himself, having bought several tickets already. “The colours are great and if I win my friends will be really jealous”, he said. “I also really like the names of Rovers players from the past which are written around both wheels. Of course, many of them are before my time, but it will be interesting to ask my grandad about some of them.”
Again, the bike features all three Rovers kit colours for the season and again safety equipment comes included in the prize. As a reminder, the third prize is a signed and framed Rovers shirt, with all three prizes being presented on the pitch at our final home game of the season.
[image2] We are sure many of you will have seen the fantastic prizes on offer in this draw when you have visited the stadium, with them being on display outside turnstiles accompanied by ticket sellers. Additionally, both the scooter and the mountain bike have been on display at the Supporters Club shop, 199 at Kingswood, causing quite a stir too. With both prizes displayed in our windows, there have been quite a few enquiries from people interested in buying them. As we promised, both the scooter and the mountain bike are unique ‘one-offs’ and will not be available to buy. Anyone can win though, and at just £1 per ticket, we are sure you will agree they are great prizes, indeed the biggest prizes ever given away by the Supporters Club.
