Easy Rider, We Show You The Winners!

May 8, 2006

[image1] Our season long superdraw was finally concluded at last Saturday’s match against Macclesfield. The draw took place at half time; we were extremely fortunate to have Ian Holloway to hand to pull out the winning tickets. Mr Barnes came along to the Supporters Club player of the year evening last night as our guest to collect his prize.

The Supporters Club would like to take this opportunity to formally thank all of the volunteers who gave so much of their free time to assist with ticket sales. This is exactly the sort of dedication that we are very lucky to have from our superb fan base and is what makes Rovers such a great club to be associated with.

In no particular order, thanks are due to;

Laura Pugh
Ben Trotman
George Malyckyj
Misha Malyckyj
Jason Alexander

The winners are; <br/>

3rd prize, Mr P Aitkin
Ticket number 008251 wins a signed framed shirt from either the men’s or ladies’ team.

2nd prize Mr E Hall
Ticket number 018232 wins the customised ‘Concept Breeze’ bicycle

1st prize. Mr R Barnes, wins the customised Yamaha scooter with ticket number 02019.

First prize winner Mr Barnes is a regular at the Mem where he watches the games with his friends from the Bass terrace. He is naturally delighted with his prize and, unlike many participants in the draw who had expressed an intention to either keep the scooter as an ornament, or even sell it on a popular on-line auction site, intends to ‘Fly the flag’ for Rovers around Bristol by riding the bike on a regular basis.

Congratulations go to Mr Barnes and the other lucky winners along with sincere thanks from all of us at Bristol Rovers Supporters Club to everyone who supported our innovative draw by buying tickets. Interest in the promotion was fantastic with literally thousands of tickets being snapped up by Gasheads keen to both support the club and win the unique prizes on offer.

More competitions and events are planned in the near future, so please keep a regular eye on our web site for details.
