Commercially speaking – close season

August 21, 2007

It seems no time at all since the end of last season – helped by the excitement of a trip to Wembley of course! The close season has seen no let up in the level of business done by the Pirate Leisure and Kingswood outlets with a continuing demand for promotion memorabilia, and the staff and volunteers have been doing a great job in dealing with this.

The Fun Day a month ago was a great success and, despite the prospect of poor weather, there was again a good turnout. I am pleased to report that takings were circa £15,000+ with around 200 new shirts being sold that day alone! There was also very healthy demand for autograph books – a testimony to the number of players that attended, of which we are very grateful.
