Summer weekend in Newcastle
March 5, 2009
Fancy a summer weekend in Newcastle to talk football?
The Football Supporters Federation annual shindig, is taking place at the Live Theatre, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, on Saturday June 20th 2009. The event is absolutely free, open to all, and helps set the FSF’s policy and campaigns focus for the coming year.
The FSF’s Northeast Division, who are hosting the event, have promised us a traditional Geordie weekend involving good beer, fine food and football. Better still, members of the FSF benefit from a range of cut-price hotel accommodation from as little as £30 per night for a double or twin room.
We’d love to see a smattering of new faces alongside the regular stalwarts, so if a summer weekend on (or off!) the drink talking footy with fellow fans in the heart of Newcastle’s historic quayside appeals…
The Friday night has the Gala Dinner at £30 or if you prefer there is an organised pub crawl. The Saturday parliament includes debates on a wide range of issues from policing to ticketing and club governance and ownership. On the Sunday there is a quayside ramble and a 5-a-side football tournament.
For details of hotel discount prices for the weekend see the FSF website.
