BRSC ‘Player of the Year’ Awards

PLAYER OF THE YEAR:  MICHAEL SMITH

 

 

 

 

After the season’s last home game on Saturday, Michael was presented with the ‘Player of the Year’ trophy by BRSC Chairman Jim Chappell.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

YOUNG PLAYER OF THE YEAR: TOM PARKES

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Pirates’ skipper, himself a strong contender for ‘Player of the Year’, collected the ‘Young Player of the Year’ trophy from BRSC Director Brian Seymour Smith.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

GOAL OF THE SEASON: OLIVER NORBURN

 

Oliver Norburn’s last gasp equaliser against Cheltenham at Whaddon Road

earned him the ‘Goal of the Season’ award.  The Jane Browne Trophy

was presented to Ollie by Jane’s brother Pete Gildersleve.

Youth team keeper Matt, seen here with BRFC Chairman Nick Higgs, was presented with the Alan Lacock Trophy for ‘Youth Team Player of the Season’ by BRSC Director Ken Masters.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

CLUBMAN OF THE YEAR: JOHN WARD

For his tremendous achievement in lifting the team from the bottom 

of League Two to mid table safety, the manager was the Committee’s

unanimous choice as ‘Clubman of the Year’. 

 

John received the Steve Larkins Trophy from BRFC Chairman Nick Higgs.

 

All the winners received a ‘replica’ trophy that they can keep. The original shields are now on display in the Supporters Club shop at Kingswood.
