Angelo Balanta signs
Bristol Rovers have today signed free agent Angelo Balanta subject to medical. The 24-year-old winger has signed a deal until the end of the season.
Manager Darrell Clarke said: “I am really pleased to bring Angelo to the club. He is a talented player with a good pedigree. He can play as a left winger or a striker, and will offer us some creativity in the final third.
He made his QPR first team debut in December 2007, and his first start for the club later the same month. In November 2008, Balanta moved on loan to League Two side Wycombe Wanderers for three months.
In June 2010 he moved on loan to MK Dons for the season, scoring 12 goals in 32+17 appearances before going back for a further two spells with them. After returning to QPR he moved to Yeovil Town on loan.
Chairman Nick Higgs said: “I am delighted to welcome Angelo to the club, we have been chasing a player of his quality for some time. He gives us some new options, and we hope to see great things from him.”
