Goals Goals Goals

What is it with Bristol Rovers and Goals?

This season we have scored 9 goals in 9 games.

Last season we played 53 goals in…….. You guessed it. 53 first team games.

What was Mark McGhee saying we needed more of when he chased that player who currently leads the Eastleigh front line?

The total of 53 goals last season were scored by 17 different players.

All the top scorers have moved on.┬áJohn Joe O’Toole and his 15 goals, Matt Harrold with his 7 and David Clarkson with his 6.

The leading scorers last season from those left with the club are Lee Brown and Ollie Clarke with 2 each.

The players currently here from last season scored a total of 8 goals in 53 matches last season.

Tom Parkes, Tom Lockyer, Mark McChrystal and Ellis Harrison also scored once.

We need more goals if we are to be a successful side. That is the route to promotion.

Who is going to step forward and do the business?
