Two more home games and four more points to add to the tally.

Looking back to the first three games of the campaign and then to the Altrincham and Braintree defeats on the road I think that most of us would have taken fourth spot and hot on the heels of the league leaders with just one third of the season completed.

A lot of football has been crammed in so far but there is more to be taken in yet before we reach the business end of the season. In addition there is the prospect of cup runs with the excitement that that could bring. Our support is holding up very well and so a very sincere thank you to all who have followed our team home and away; we all know that it makes a very big difference. It’s all about wining football matches.

I am conscious of many  issues and concerns at this time but especially two that I been discussing face to face with supporters in the clubhouse and around the ground. We are pleased with our support but I understand the affordability concerns of supporters and their families. Any help with this must take account of season ticket holders and the commitment  that they make to pay for their football up front and in advance.

The other issue that strikes  me is the needs of women supporters on match days both at the Mem and on our travels. I will be looking to address some of these issues over the coming weeks. We will work hard to accommodate everyone in our Bristol Rovers community.

On another tack you may been interested to know that we have enrolled over fifty full time post 16 and post 18 students at our Study Centre for the new academic year.

Best wishes go to all of our students with their studies.
