WOT! No Newsletter!

At the start of the season the intention of the BRSC EC was to send out electronic newsletters to the membership approximately every two months throughout the current season.

The first of the planned Newsletters was scheduled to go out at the end of September; shortly after the AGM. It was to include the Minutes of the AGM, Away Travel details for October and November, an update on the 14/04174/X variation of delivery hours planning application and more.

The second Newsletter was planned for next week and it was hoped that it would be possible to include an update on the UWE Bristol Stadium. It was also planned to include details of Christmas Goods on sale at the Bristol Rovers Supporters Club shop at 199 Two Mile Hill Road and the Away Travel Details for December and January among other items.

A third Newsletter was planned for the end of January and a fourth one was pencilled in for the end of March. These two Newsletters may go ahead but that is not now certain. A decision about these further Newsletters will be made later in the season.

For the moment we are posting all items of news as and when they are current and topical. To have published the first two Newsletters would have meant artificially holding back stories and news. This did not seem to be a better way of communicating with members so the Newsletters have been put on hold for the present.

It still remains a genuine long-term objective of the Supporters Club Executive Committee to develop our use of Newsletters to communicate with the membership. For the moment, though, the principal strategy is to keep the flow of communication focused on an up-to-date website. If you wish to contact us about this please use the CONTACT US FORM.
