It seems to have become the norm to play Barnet in night games and if the last one is anything to go by, then with Barnet flying so high and scoring freely at will, tonight should be a cracker.
Anyone who follows me on twitter will know it’s been busier than Temple Meads in the rush hour. There has been numerous tweets regarding bringing in a striker and, at the time of writing, I was delighted to see that that has happened. We have known for ages that we desperately need a proven goal scorer and trying to get one has not been for the want of trying. Perhaps now with this achieved, our thoughts can turn to real positives like hitting the net on a regular basis from now on.
One of the more amusing tweets over the past few days asked whether Santa’s grotto will be returning to the Mem again this year. I know there was much discussion about it last year – but I can’t think why? Regretfully as the member of staff who put it up for us last year is no longer with us, the answer is no.
However I am assured Santa will continue to deliver presents on Christmas Eve as before – so don’t panic! If that includes 3 points at Torquay on Boxing Day then Christmas really will be worthwhile.
And so now to Barnet! You will no doubt see me walking around the ground during tonight, so please feel free to stop me and chat. I can also be contacted on [email protected] or twitter @BriSeymourSmith and I will always come back as soon as I can.
Three points tonight and the table is once again thrown wide open!
Enjoy the match and UTG!
