The 20-year-old stopper is a regular for the Arsenal Under-21s, having featured seven times for Steve Gatting’s side so far this term.
He also made 19 appearances in 2013/14.
Macey has also been called up to the Gunners’ first-team squad twice this season.
He was Emiliano Martinez’s understudy for Premier League victories away to West Bromwich Albion and at home to Southampton.
The Bath-born youngster heads to the Crown Ground to gain first-team experience.
Everyone at Arsenal Football Club wishes Matt the best of luck for his spell with Accrington.

Arsenal U21s goalkeeper Matt Macey is set to gain valuable experience of professional football having joined League Two side Accrington Stanley on an initial one month loan deal.
Macey has established himself as Arsenal’s first-choice goalkeeper for the U21s since joining from Bristol Rovers in September 2013 and has made 26 appearances at that level. In addition, he travelled with the first-team for their pre-season training camp in Austria last summer and was named on the bench for the Premier League fixtures against Southampton and West Bromwich Albion this season.
The 20-year-old is an impressive shot-stopper and has made numerous superb saves from close range during his time at the club, although he does remain rather vulnerable from corners.
He could make his debut for his temporary club when they host Bury tomorrow night. Speaking to the Accrington Stanley official website, Macey said: “I’ve been looking to get out on loan all season but due to injuries (to Wojciech Szczesny and David Ospina) it didn’t quite happen.
“Part of developing into a top goalkeeper is going and learning your trade lower down the leagues and learn proper football.”
Arsenal face Reading U21s on Monday and Macey’s absence is likely to mean that Ryan Huddart will be called upon at that level for just the third time this season, although there is the possibility that Emiliano Martinez could instead be used as an overage goalkeeper. Deyan Iliev remains sidelined with injury.
Macey isn’t the only young Arsenal goalkeeper currently out on loan, with Josh Vickers having featured regularly for non-league side Concord Rangers this season.
