Notts County have completed the loan signing of Derby County winger Alefe Santos on an initial one-month youth loan deal.

Santos was in action for Derby in their Under-21 Cup match against Sunderland at St George’s Park on Thursday.

Notts County Manager Shaun Derry was in attendance to see him score the winner in a penalty shoot-out.

The Brazilian-born winger signed a two-year deal with Derby in the summer, after catching the eye at former club Bristol Rovers.

Santos will now be available for the Sky Bet League 1 game away to Bristol City on Saturday.

The 19-year-old started his career with Bristol Rovers and joined Derby County on a two-year deal in July 2014.

Santos made his professional debut for the Pirates in November 2012 and played a total of 28 games for the club.

He has made one appearance for Derby, in the Capital One Cup victory over Charlton in August 2014.
