March 10, 2015

A brief update on the latest set of BRFC Academy fixtures.

The Under 16’s were away to Exeter City.

It was an extremely tight game contested by two very strong sides who tried to get the ball down and play on a bumpy surface. A very competitive and well contested game with some stand out performers for ourselves.

The Under 9’s to Under 15’s had fixtures against Plymouth Argyle.

There were some very positive performances across the board, especially from the Under 12’s and Under 14’s where our Academy “Goal of the Week” came from. Some excellent football was played resulting in an enjoyable spectacle.

The Under 8’s had a fantastic opportunity to play Chelsea.

The match was played at the club’s famous Cobham Training Ground.

The boys put on an excellent showing against top opposition, and found it a terrific experience to be involved in.

All in all, another good weekend.

Some of the goals from the weekend are included in this selected video clip.

(Thanks to Tom Parinello, the BRFC Academy Lead Youth Development Phase Coach for this update.)
