The Board of Chester FC is pleased to announce a major link up with Italian football giants Juventus as a result of the recent visit to Turin by Manager Steve Burr and his Assistant Jon McCarthy.
Steve and John held various discussions with ‘the old lady’, one of which involved the possibility of mutual younger player ‘swaps’ in order for those players to gain more match time and experience (training regimes, dietary programmes, strength conditioning etc), whilst continuing their individual development.
‘Juve’ spokesman Giuseppe ‘Fola’ Pirlo (uncle of first team legend Andrea Pirlo) confirmed that the reciprocal agreement was almost complete, but now depended solely on Chester FC agreeing to change its playing strip to emulate the pink coloured kit which is Juve’s favoured away strip.
Blues Manager Steve Burr commented “This represents a fantastic opportunity for both the club and management team to really plan for promotion and, whilst I am absolutely excited to bring continental style football to Chester, I have to admit I also really love the idea of pink (I’ve always personally loved the idea of a pink kit – ‘bellisimo kit rosa’ as they said at ‘Juve’!).
“Of course I realise this proposal will need to be put to the CFU membership for ratification at the next monthly meeting (tomorrow night’). I’m sure the membership will be bowled over by this idea.”
Board member and Youth Development Director, Brian Burns, who is fluent in Italian, said: “Questo sviluppo è così eccitante per noi, come un ventilatore di proprietà del club . Non vedo l’ora di vedere i giocatori della Juventus qui in rappresentanza Chester FC . Giocare in rosa è un colpo da maestro per il futuro . Non vedo l’ora di sentire i nostri tifosi cantare”
Come on you Pink’s’!
