Simply The Best

Bristol Rovers supporters are solid and

SIMPLY_THE_BEST_1

The support given to our team last Saturday was higher than West rivals and promotion chasers Swindon Town and Plymouth Argyle could muster in Leagues 1 and 2 respectively. No group of supports in our region at any level came anywhere near.

Nationally, only Luton in League 2 could match it and that was for a clash against table toppers Burton Albion. Nine games in League 1 could not attract the numbers attending the game at the Mem.

The noise around the stadium was tops. The players did what they had to do. A thoroughly professional approach to the game resulted in three more points and puts us in a position where we can take the long journey to Dover still believing and hoping that we can do this.

Fair play to Barnet if they keep winning to the end. All we can do is support our team in our numbers, win our two remaining games and hope for a twist or two at Kiddy and then at Barnet.

We are looking at something around a four hundred mile round trip from Bristol to Dover on Saturday. Gas travelling from other parts will have long trips too for the great majority of them. Thank you for supporting Bristol Rovers in such fantastic numbers.

Thank you for standing shoulder to shoulder when we could have collapsed under the deep hurt. Thank you to each and every one of you for holding your heads high and sending out the message. We are Bristol Rovers and we are what we are; proud to stand together and proud to be a Gashead.

Take good care on your way to Dover this weekend, see you there, enjoy the game and a safe journey home to Bristol and other parts after the game.
