(Bristol Rovers supporters may be interested in knowing a little more about one of the issues faced by Kiddermnster Harriers as a result of our visit on Easter Monday. The article below is taken from the Kidderminster Harriers Official Site.)
Kidderminster Harriers Football Club would like to again apologise that some season ticket holders were unable to access their normal seats on Easter Monday.
The Club became aware at very short notice that approximately 300 Bristol Rovers supporters were planning to make the journey to Aggborough without tickets.
It was felt that if they were not admitted this may lead to some security issues and put at risk our own supporters.
Should it have been necessary to involve the police, the Club would have been met with a hefty police bill which would have been ‘double time’ on a bank holiday.
The decision was reluctantly taken to allocate more of the East Stand to away supporters than was originally intended, resulting in some season ticket holders not being able to sit in their normal seat.
We realise that this has, without doubt, caused some distress and inconvenience and as a gesture of goodwill the Club would like to offer those affected free admittance to a pre-season friendly fixture of your choice ahead of 2015/16.
To claim this, please produce your 2014/15 season ticket booklet, or renewed 2015/16 season ticket booklet, at the club prior to your chosen fixture.
Once again we would ask you to please accept the Club’s apology to those that were inconvenienced and thank you for your continued support.
The Board Of Directors,
Kidderminster Harriers FC
