Stay Together

HUMBLE

The play off first leg game at the New Lawn again showed us how far we have come as the season has progressed. People and the press still talk of the early days and the slow start but that is far behind us now.

In the first half up at Nailsworth I thought we showed the extra quality that we have at this level. In the second half when Forest Green had a go, as surely their manager would have demanded of them during the half time break, we showed the strength and resolve needed to pull together to resist and to win the football match. Still not beaten on the road since the first week of September.

We could have sold many tickets for the away leg and it seemed to me on the night that the ground had more capacity in it. On Sunday we will see a different situation. Our home support will be at least ten times more than we were allowed on Wednesday.

Thank you once more for the support you have given to our team this season and by the way you have stood by Bristol Rovers Football Club. There is absolutely no question in my mind about the massive part that you have played both at the Mem and around the country since last August.

Bristol Rovers supporters deserve a day out at Wembley and with it promotion back to the Football League after just one year out. We all want this, the first team group of players want it and are giving us everything they can muster after a long hard season.

The management team want it and are doing the same, the academy players and coaches want it, we all want it. We are singing that he is one of our own and that is so good to hear. I would say that this group have shown us that they are all one of us to a man.

Stay strong, stay together and we get our Rovers back.

Back where we belong.

Kind Regards
