Gulls 2 Grecians

June 24, 2015

Major changes have taken place in the Academy sector throughout the South West this Summer.

Firstly, Torquay United, faced with financial pressures, have abandoned their Academy for the 2015/16 season.

This is the second time Torquay have done this and is a blow to their long term recruitment plans.

Meanwhile, a short distance North, Yeovil Town are attempting to re-establish their Academy.

Yeovil Town could now find that the talented footballers in their area are more wary of joining them.

We now find that the Grecians have reached out to the best Torquay United Academy prospects.

With the agreement of the Torquay United board they have offered trials to the TUFC Academy players.
