Monakana Signs

August 5, 2015

Bristol Rovers have signed Brighton midfielder Jeffrey Monakana on a one-month loan.

Jeffrey Monakana came through the youth system at Arsenal.

This is the Arsenal Under 9 Team from 2002. Jeffrey Monakana  is third from the right in the back row.

In May 2012 he signed for PNE and stayed at Deepdale until he joined Brighton & Hove in January 2014.

During his time with Preston he made 29 starts and another 20 appearances as a substitute.

In 2012/13, with Preston he made 47 appearances, scored 6 goals and was booked 8 times.

In the 2013/14 season, he went on loan to Colchester United, played 9 times, scored once and was booked once.

Since signing for Brighton & Hove Albion, Jeffrey Monakana has spent time on loan at a number of clubs.

Although on loan at Crawley Town, Aberdeen, Mansfield Town and Carlisle United he has played very little.

The move to Bristol Rovers gives him the opportunity to play some competitive football and prove his worth.

Preston North End and Brighton & Hove Albion were persuaded to sign him because of his quality and ability.

Born in Enfield on Bonfire Night in 1993, he is at an age when he wants to play football regularly.

Bristol Rovers could be the club that represents a turning point in his career.

Our old friend, Mustapha Carayol, believes that the BRFC supporters will really enjoy watching him play.
