The BRFC Academy Under 18 side made it two draws from their first two games following this goalless encounter with Plymouth Argyle on Saturday August 15th at Golden Hill.

“It was a game we might have won,” said Alan Walsh, “but the main positive to take from the match was that we kept a clean sheet and at the other end we created a number of chances.”

Bradley Confrey had a strong game in the centre of defence alongside Alfie Kilgour

Alan thought that, “The lads worked hard and I couldn’t fault them for their effort and fantastic work rate. However, while we work hard to gain possession we give it away again cheaply and in bad areas.”

Alan added, “Overall, I think a draw was probably a fair result. The closest Plymouth came to scoring was in the first half when they hit the bar with a speculative effort from some 25 yards out.”

Regan Sollars will be pleased with his short substitute appearance in the match against Plymouth Argyle.

Finally, the Under 18 manager said, “We had a few opportunities where the ball flew across the face of goal and no one able to finish. Neither goalkeeper had too many saves to make in the 90 minutes.”
