A powerful header from Blake Davies was enough to seal the 1-0 victory.

On Saturday 29th August 2015, Bristol Rovers won 1-0 at Golden Hill against AFC Bournemouth.

Bournemouth are the reigning FL Youth Alliance South West Champions and a very good side.

BRFC Under 18 Academy won 1-0 after a sweeping second half move involving George Corp.

With 15 minutes left an Elliott Green cross found Blake Davies who powered the ball home with his head.

Moments later, brave defending by Bradley Confrey and Alfie Kilgour prevented the equaliser.

This was a very keenly contested encounter and the young Pirates were delighted to win.

Up to this point Bournemouth Academy were top of the table having won all their matches to date.

They have beaten Oxford United 1-0 and Yeovil Town 2-0 in away matches.

In their last match they beat Plymouth Argyle 3-1 at home.

A full match report will follow later this week.
