Football League Youth Alliance Cup Round One

Bristol Rovers Under 18 Academy side lost this match to two second half goals.

Luton Town scored on the hour as Murray latched onto a throughball to cleverly steer the ball home.

Cotter made it 2-0 in the last 5 minutes when he calmly converted James Verney’s cross at the back post.

Luton Town were the better team and deserved to win this encounter.

Paul Driver, the Luton Youth Coach said: “It was an excellent team performance against a really good Bristol side.”

BRFC Goalkeeper, Charlie Phillips, made some fine saves and kept BRFC in the game in the first half.

A number of outfield layers looked leg weary during the second half.

The exertions of the AFC Bournemouth victory on Saturday 29th August came into play late on.

Newport County away in the league is the next match.
