September 15, 2015
This is a brief summary of the BRFC Academy fixtures over the weekend of the 12/13th of September.
On Saturday 12th September 2015, the BRFC Academy Under 16 squad travelled to play Swindon Town.
This side were looking to produce a better performance than last week’s fixture against Newport County.
Encouragingly, the boys reacted extremely well to last week’s disappointment.
They produced an improved display in terms of performance against a decent Swindon Town side.
All of the Under 9 to Under 15 teams also had fixtures against Swindon Town over the weekend.
Games against Swindon Town are generally tough and competitive and this set of matches was no different.
Probably, the outstanding performance of the weekend was from the Under 15 side.
Due to injuries they had to play with only 10 men for 70 minutes of the game.
They dug in extremely deep to come out with a positive result as well as a good performance.
Another notable and good performance came from the Under 12 side.
An exciting attacking display, full of attractive expansive football was produced by the Under 12 team.
