BRFC Academy News

December 15, 2015

The BRFC Academy sides have had a number of fixtures cancelled or postponed lately.

Last weekend it was possible for several of the BRFC Academy teams to play again.

On Saturday 12th December the Under 16 side played a Somerset FA Representative.

Down to bare bones due to a few injuries, the players produced a professional performance.

This game was very easy on the eye from a spectator’s perspective, despite the testing conditions.

The goals in this match came from Newman Ball, James Spruce, Cormac Pike and Josh Brace.

On Sunday 13th December, the Under 10, Under 12 and Under 14 squads travelled to Bournemouth.

The outstanding performance of the day came from the BRFC Academy Under 10 players.

They produced one of their best performances of the season against decent opposition.

The boys played some terrific attacking football and scored some excellent goals in the process.

All of the home games were postponed due to waterlogged pitches.
