Three people with Bristol Rovers connections are included.

The chosen manager is the popular and evergreen John Still.

In midfield they have included Liam Lawrence while the much-travelled Jamie Cureton is on the bench.

Who would manage this ‘Golden Oldies XI’? Well, it has to be Dagenham & Redbridge manager John Still.

The 65-year-old may be old enough for his bus pass, but they reckon he’s still got plenty left in the tank.

And the following team wouldn’t need many instructions.

Any decent team needs a good goalkeeper so they select Roy Carroll (38) between the sticks.

They have selected Charlton’s Roger Johnson (32) and QPR’s Clint Hill (37) in the centre of defence.

Derby’s Chris Baird (33) is at right-back and Birmingham’s Paul Robinson (37) at left-back.

In midfield Liam Lawrence (34) is on the right and Coventry City’s Joe Cole (34) on the left.

In the centre, they have Scott Parker (35) of Fulham and Burnley’s Joey Barton (33).

Up front, Bolton striker Emile Heskey (37) is partnered with Exeter’s Clinton Morrison (36).

The bench includes QPR left-back Paul Konchesky (34), and Notts County’s Alan Smith (35).

From Exeter midfielder there is Matt Oakley (38) and from Bolton forward Shola Ameobi (34).

Finally, there is the Dagenham & Redbridge striker Jamie Cureton (40).

Who have they missed out that could improve this squad?
