Bristol Rovers Community Trust’s Walking Football.

WALKING_FOOTBALL

The walking football sessions in Brislington are re-launching on Thursday 3rd March after a brief hiatus.

Now that there is a group of between 8-10 ready to play the sessions will restart on 3rd March.

If you are aged over 50 you are more than welcome to join in.

The Brislington sessions take place on Thursdays from 11am-12pm.

The venue is Goals Soccer Centre, Broomhill Road, BS4 5RG on the outside 3G rubber crumb pitches.

If you are unable to make the daytime session there is also Tuesday night walking football from 8-9pm.

This is held at Bristol Metropolitan Academy, Snowdon Road, BS16 2HD, in the indoor sports hall.

Both of the walking football sessions are for adults aged over 50 and cost £3 per session.

Fishponds will be in the indoor sports hall and Brislington is outside on the 3G rubber crumb pitches.

Rovers legends and former captains Peter Aitken and Vaughan Jones will be both getting involved.

You can test yourself against and play with the old has-beens!

The project has been developed to offer adults over 50 an opportunity to involve themselves in sport.

Walking football is a slower version of the beautiful game.

It is also a chance to get back playing the sport you love that maybe you thought your playing days were over.
