This is the hat-trick fixture for the referee from the Midlands.

Match Referee:- STUART ATTWELL.

Third Time Around.

Stuart Atwell from Nuneaton, Warwickshire, is a product of fast tracking through the refereeing system.

33 years old now, he started refereeing in 1998 and was on the National List of Referees by 2007.

At the age of 25, he was the youngest to referee in the Premier League during August 2008.

He was confirmed as England’s youngest international referee when named on the FIFA list in the same season.

His only visit to The Memorial Stadium as the Match Referee was on Tuesday 11th March 2014.

Bristol Rovers lost that match 2-1 to Dagenham & Redbridge. A midfielder called Tom Lockyer was booked.

The only other time he was the referee for a BRFC match was also against D & R on Monday 1st April 2013.

This is the false dawn fixture which might be remembered best as the “Oumare Tounkara Match”.

His double on that day was part of the 4-2 victory for the Pirates against the Daggers.

John Joe O’Toole and Tom Parkes were booked in that fixture.

Stuart has been the match referee six times for the Daggers in recent years.

The last time he officiated at a D & R match was in their 2-0 home defeat against Barnet in February 2016.
