Will many terrace tickets be available on match days in the 2016/17 season?
With two months left to the start of the EFL Division One campaign it is hard to judge.
The West Enclosure has only 152 tickets left out of the total capacity of 880 spaces. (@04/06/16)
It is quite conceivable that by the start of the league season this specific area could be completely sold out.
Over 55% of the tickets in the North Terrace have been sold to Season Ticket holders. (@04/06/16)
As is anticipated the Family Enclosure and the East Terrace areas are selling less rapidly.
However, in these two sections of terracing areas a total of over 1,150 tickets have been sold. (@04/06/16)
Is it likely that the average home league crowd of 8,096 for 2015/16 will be beaten in 2016/17?
The 8,096 average home league crowd was an impressive 22.1% increase on the previous season.
The last season in which home league attendances exceeded 8,000 was in the 1999/2000 campaign.
In the 1999/2000 season the home league crowd average was 8,402.
You then need to go back 38 years to 1977/1978 to find a season in which the average crowd exceeded 8,000.
The average crowd total in that season was very similar to last season. It was 8,108.
These are definitely untypical times for Bristol Rovers supporters.
