How did Matty Taylor contribute to the recent success of Bristol Rovers?

Fade-Away

His record of 48 goals in 99 games over the last two seasons places him among the very best.

He finished the 2015/16 season as the leading goal scorer in the entire Football League.

He went through a spell in the Spring of 2016 where he scored 13 goals in 12 games.

His contribution to the team in terms of his build-up play and assists is now as valuable as his goals.

Despite the constant battering he faces he has only missed one match in the last two seasons.

Without his contribution Bristol Rovers may not have achieved the double promotion.

Is it any wonder that many clubs expressed an interest in signing Matty Taylor?

Matty Taylor’s playing record for Bristol Rovers over two years:

2014 – 2015 BRISTOL ROVERS – 49 Appearances – 20 Goals.

There were 6 Yellow cards. 15 Home Goals and 5 Away Goals.

2015 – 2016 BRISTOL ROVERS – 50 Appearances – 28 Goals.

There were 3 Yellow cards. 19 Home Goals and 9 Away Goals.

There are THREE of his best goals from last season below to remember his contribution.

GOAL A. Matt Taylor v Wycombe Wanderers. Tuesday 6th October 2015.

GOAL B. Matt Taylor v Mansfield Town. Saturday 17th October 2015.

GOAL C. Matt Taylor v Northampton Town. Saturday 9th April 2016.

Many BRFC supporters will happily recall THE FGR WORM/SEAL from the 2014/15 play-offs.
