Academy Player Recruitment Regional Scout


Bristol Rovers FC are looking to expand their player recruitment network by recruiting up to 10 part time regional scouts to support the Academy recruitment strategy to ensure that BRFC Academy are able to recruit the best talented players across Bristol and the South West.

The designated regions will be each have a designated Foundation Phase (Under 9 – Under 12 ) and Youth Development Phase (Under 13 – Under 16) scout:

– Bristol (Central)

– Gloucestershire

– Somerset

– Bath and Wiltshire

– South Wales (Cardiff/Newport and surrounding areas)

Successful applicants will report directly to the Head of Academy Recruitment, and will be responsible for the identification and recruitment of players in line with the Academy philosophy.

We are looking for individuals with extensive knowledge of local football and excellent interpersonal skills.

They will also be able to show that they are capable of meeting the needs of young player and their families in the transition into Academy football. The roles involve working weekends.

There will also be an expectation to complete administration tasks such as player monitoring reports and scouting logs.

Remuneration for the role will be circa £2,500 per annum paid pro-rata on a fortnightly basis.

Experience of working within a professional football environment in a similar capacity as well as having a pre-existing network of local football contacts would be advantageous.

Applicants will also need to be locally based (living within the appointed region).

Successful applicants will undergo a screening process that will include an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure.
