Jordan Ayew opened the scoring for AVFC in the 41st minute with a neat finish.

Matty Taylor fired past Mark Bunn in the 78th minute to ensure parity for the Pirates.

Jordan Ayew had started strongly for Villa, and he wasn’t scared of shooting from distance.

Both of his early efforts were well saved by Steve Mildenhall.

There were major changes at half time by Bristol Rovers and others throughout the second half.

AVFC made two half time changes and seven more in the 62nd minute.

The BRFC match announcer, Nick Day, stated; “Coming on for Villa is absolutely everyone.”

Few fans probably noticed among the substitutes was the ex-Rover Scott Sinclair.

A slick and composed Villa side showed their quality and passing ability throughout.

Meanwhile, the Pirates demonstrated their doggedness and their fighting spirit.
