Scunthorpe Match Officials

The Match Officials for the Scunthorpe United fixture have been announced.

Making his debut at the Memorial Stadium is Cambridgeshire based Darren Deadman.


Darren Deadman is a very experienced football league referee who has taken charge of over 400 EFL league and cup matches in total. He has never previously been the referee for a Bristol Rovers Home match at The Memorial Stadium.

MATCH 1 – Saturday 1st November 2008 – LEICESTER CITY 2 v 1 BRISTOL ROVERS.

Darren Deadman has been the referee for 13 previous Iron fixtures. They won 2 of those 13 games.

He has officiated in 36 matches this season and awarded 3 penalties, (all in League One).

In total he has given 126 Yellow and 7 Red cards this season.

One of those Red Cards was to Andre Blackman, shown below, when BRFC last played Crawley Town.


Andre Blackman of Crawley Town was shown a second yellow card in the 69th minute of the 1-1 drawn FA Cup match between Crawley Town and Bristol Rovers on Saturday 5th November 2016.
