When did you start watching Rovers?
I started supporting Rovers in January 1997, shortly after moving to Bristol.
Since then, I’ve attended as many matches as I could – home and away.
Favourite player(s) since watching Rovers?
‘Mr’ Barry Hayles, ‘Sir’ Rickie Lambert & Stuart Sinclair.Favourite manager(s)?
Darrell Clarke & Paul Trollope.
Most memorable game(s) watching Rovers?
Reading 0-6 Bristol Rovers (‘The Madejski Massacre’)
Most memorable goal(s)?
Well, I reckon they’re Rickie Lambert goal in the 2nd leg of The Southern Area Final of The JPT Trophy in 2007 at The Mem, Sammy Igoe’s in the play-off final that same year, and ‘Billy’ Elliott Anderson, in the 7-0 promotion win vs Scunthorpe in 2022.
Favourite away ground?
Huddersfield Town’s stadium – it looks like a spaceship!
Worst away ground(s)?
The ground I can see from my living room windows (I live in Hotwells).
Fortunately, I have lovely blue venetian blinds, so I can block out the view of the horrible red monstrosity!

How have you rated this season?Although, to me he’ll always be a Gas Legend, Darrell wasn’t my first choice to take over as manager last summer, but I hoped he’d defy the footballing cliche of “Never go back” – how disappointing he couldn’t.
How do you see the season finishing up?
Despite the fact I’d never liked Steve Evans, I can’t deny he’s winning me over & we have a much better chance now of League 2 survival.
Any funny/unusual stories at Rovers?
About 20 years ago a group of us travelled to Cambridge Utd away by train. We had a few hours to kill so decided to stop off for a while at ‘Fenners’ on the way to The Abbey Stadium. One of our party was disgruntled when he discovered what the rest of us knew – that ‘Fenners’ isn’t a pub, but the University’s cricket ground!
