Academy goalkeeper Liam Armstrong has joined Larkhall Athletic on a work experience loan.
The 17-year old stopper is available to play for the Evo-Stik League South side’s game away to Paulton Rovers; a team Liam has previously been on loan with.
Speaking after yesterday’s thrilling 3-2 win over Cheltenham Town Under-18s at the GFA, Liam was keen to point out the advantages the move will bring.
“I’m going to really enjoy it and getting men’s football will be beneficial for my development.” He said.
“I’m only 17 so I think the sooner I get into playing at senior level the better as it’s going to really help me in my career.
“Alfie Clarke and Woody [James Spruce] are already down there on loan so hopefully they can help me settle into the team.”
We wish Liam all the best during his spell with Larkhall.
