Two and a Half Year Contract

Bristol Rovers supporters have been fortunate to enjoy watching Matty Taylor at the peak of his career.

Oxford United, North Leigh, Forest Green Rovers, Chester and then Bristol Rovers.

He deserves the professional opportunity to test himself at the highest level he can.

Bristol Rovers supporters will have hoped that he would one day be in the Championship playing for the Gas.

He has now been able to secure his financial future at a stroke and has a fresh challenge to overcome.

Brian Williams, Steve Phillips, Peter Beadle, and Peter Aitken among others have all crossed the river.

Matty’s goals and all-round play have been an integral part of the successful promotions of Bristol Rovers.

He could have left for nothing in the Summer of 2016 but instead he now leaves with a sizeable fee incoming.

There will be much disappointment that he has left and some soul-searching over his new destination.

Bristol Rovers supporters have much to thank him for and most will wish Matty Taylor the very best.
