The stands are of a bespoke construction and involve the manufacture of new roofs. The new stands will offer an improved spectator experience for supporters once they are completed, however because their construction is more complex, our main contractor, GL Events has encountered unforeseen engineering issues in the supply chain.
They have confirmed that completion will now be possible by the start of September. In the meanwhile, alternative arrangements have been made for all supporters affected, with seats being allocated elsewhere in the ground. If you are one of the supporters affected, you will be contacted directly over the coming days.
GL Events and the Club would like to apologise to all supporters who suffer any inconvenience as a result of this delay.
The new South West Stand, is due to be built on the 16th, 17th & 18th August and in use for supporters for the match with Portsmouth on 21st August.
The new Bristol Energy Family Stand due to be built on the 3rd,4th & 5th September and will be in use for supporters for the match with Plymouth on September 8th.
We’d like to thank supporters for their continued patience and we look forward to seeing you all at the Mem this weekend for our match with Accrington.
