Bristol Refugee Festival is a month-long programme of arts, cultural and educational events that brings together communities and refugees across Bristol to celebrate the contribution refugees make to the city. The festival takes place from June 1st to June 30th and this Saturday will see Bristol Rovers helping to run and promote the 6 a-side football tournament and the new state of the art facility at Lockleaze Sports Centre.

Teams from across Bristol will have the opportunity to play in this community tournament. It’s going to be a family fun day, including inflatables, face painting and more to keep the family entertained.

Community Trust CEO Adam Tutton said “We are thrilled to be working with Bristol City of Sanctuary, the Lockleaze Sports Trust and the team behind the Bristol Refugee Festival this Saturday. Being able to reach out to all aspects of our community is obviously, really important to us and if we are able to help promote a better understanding as to why people seek sanctuary and support successful integration, then it’s certainly something that we feel passionate about.”
