The Match Officials for the Coventry City fixture on Saturday 25th March 2017 have been announced.

Coventry City v Bristol Rovers on Saturday 25th March 2017.

Match Referee:  GRAHAM HORWOOD. 

Assistant Referees: David Plowright and Nigel Smith. 

Fourth Official: Steven Rushton.

The Match Referee is GRAHAM HORWOOD from Luton in Bedfordshire.

He has been involved as an EFL referee since August 2007.

He spent the 2011/2013 seasons as a Conference referee before returning to the league scene.

To date he has officiated in 224 EFL matches, issued over 690 Yellow, 340 Red Cards and awarded 64 penalties.

Graham Horwood was last in charge of a Bristol Rovers game on Saturday 1st October 2016.

In that match Charlie Colkett’s 90th minute winner sealed the three points in the 3-2 victory.

Peter Hartley and Charlie Colkett were booked in this match and Cobblers’s Gabriel Zakuni was dismissed late on.

On 14th September 2013 he was in charge when Dagenham & Redbridge won 2-0 with Ellis Harrison booked.

A 55th minute penalty taken by Matt Harrold was saved by Chris Lewington in that match.

He has only been the referee in charge of a BRFC fixture on two other occasions; both were back in 2009.

In the Carling Cup on Tuesday August 11th in a 2-1 victory over Aldershot he awarded three penalties.

Daryl Duffy scored the first penalty in the 37th minute and then scored the rebound from his second.

BRFC were 2-0 ahead in the 58th minute only for Marvin Morgan to score a penalty for the Shots.

Six months earlier in a match against the eventual champions he had also awarded Bristol Rovers a penalty.

Mark Bunn was The Foxes keeper and he saved from Rickie Lambert in the 54th minute.

League leaders Leicester City won 1-0 in front of over 9,000 supporters at The Mem.

Matty Fryatt was on fire that season and scored his 21st goal of the season in the 20th minute.

That fixture on the 21st of February 2009 saw Jack Hobbs sent off as the Foxes won 1-0.
