Chris Hargreaves’ side will entertain Exeter City on Thursday, 30th August at the Memorial Stadium – kick-off at 7pm.
The Development Squad narrowly missed out qualification for the tournament last season – losing to Bury in an epic penalty shootout.
The Premier League Cup is a National competition and consists of eight groups of four clubs. During the group stage, each team will play each other twice (home and away), playing six matches in the process.
The winner of each group, plus the runners-up, will advance to the knock-out stages.
There will then be round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final (all one-leg fixtures) to decide the champion.
The draw for the Premier League Cup Group Stages will take place at 12.00 (noon) on Monday 20 August 2018. The Groups will be announced via our @PLYouth Twitter Feed.
