Following last Saturday’s match against Blackpool, we received a number of messages regarding the state of the toilet facilities at the Memorial Stadium.

Most of these messages concerned the facilities at the North Terrace/Thatchers End but we are aware that problems have also been experienced in other parts of the ground and that problems have existed for some time.

We are also aware that the PA system could not be heard in a number of areas of the stadium on Saturday and which, also, has been an ongoing problem.

In addition, a number of supporters have expressed concern about the cost of matchday tickets and feel that they are prohibitive and prevent many of them from attending every match.

We wanted to advise you that all of these issues have been taken up with the Football Club and we are delighted to provide an update on the core issues raised.

The club says that there is an awareness of the ongoing problems with the toilets, especially at the northern end of the stadium. A brand new toilet block was installed at the start of the season increasing the quality and number of units available for supporters. However, over recent weeks an issue with the supporter supply has been identified and the club are investigating the best means to access the underground pipework to resolve the issue.

We have been assured that work will continue to find an acceptable solution to the matter as soon as possible.

Similarly, the maintenance staff will be attempting to improve the situation regarding the PA System. The new PA system in the South Stand is working well and the club are working with the supplier to explore options to improve the North Terrace to the same standard.

With regard to the cost of matchday tickets, we were pleased to learn that for both the matches against Exeter and Oxford will see a number of South Stand tickets priced at £10 and the club has pledged to look into the pricing structure for tickets moving forwards

We will, of course, keep you informed of any developments/progress made on any of these topics and will continue to work with the Football Club on your behalf.

We are delighted to have an agreement in place for a meeting of supporters with Abdullatif, Tom Gorringe, Matt Taylor and a member of the playing staff. The meeting will be held at the Memorial Stadium next month and full details will be publicised on our website very shortly.

Not only will it give supporters an opportunity to meet one of our new owners and our manager for the first time, it will also be a chance to receive any further feedback that you have directly.
