The Gas Girls stand on the brink of a second successive promotion, needing just a point to clich the South West Regional Womens’ Football League, Northern Division title with two fixtures left to play.
They take on Weston Mendip Ladies at Lockleaze Sports Centre this Sunday, kick-off 2pm, and would love a big crowd there to cheer them on to glory. They certainly deserve it.
Last Sunday they put in a very dominant performance to record a 6-0 victory over Cheltenham Town Ladies’ Development side with no fewer than six different scorers: ZoeFielden Stewart, Laura Curnock, Libby Bell, Annys Turner, Jamie-LeighWorlock and Jacqueline Maddock all on target.
