The Gas Girls progressed into the Preliminary round of this seasons’ Womens’ FA Cup after a thumping 6-0 victory over Bristol & West Ladies at Lockleaze Sports Centre.
Three players – Betty Platt, Katie Davies and Annys Turner – were handed debuts as our girls made light of the enforced break since they last played. Rosanna Rocha opened the scoring midway through the first half before Libby Bell made it two rounding off some fantastic build-up play. Hannah Thompson adding a third just before the break.
In the second half Libby Bell addded her second of the afternoon before a Jen Atherton penalty and Zoe Fielden-Stewart goal rounded off the scoring.
The Girls will now travel to Chipping Sodbury Ladies in the next round with the game due to be played on September 20th at 2pm.
