Both Gas Girls sides eventually returned to action on Sunday and made light of the 182 day break since their last fixture by recording victories in the Gloucestershire County Womens’ Football League.

Our first team recorded a thumping 7-0 victory over Cotswold Rangers Women at Lockleaze Sports Centre. Georgia Vandries led the way bagging herself no fewer than four goals with further goals being scored by Katie Davies, Anna Hubble and Annys Turner. This results lifts our girls up to second place in the First Division table just three points behind Bristol & West Ladies with two games in hand.

Our Development side recorded a 2-1 victory at Bradley Stoke Ladies with Lauren Harris and Tamsin Shipley both on target. This win lifts our Development side up to fourth place in the Second Division table, six points behind leaders Olveston United with a game in hand and a fixture against them still to come.

Both of our sides are back in action this Sunday. Our first team take on Gloucester City Ladies at Lockleaze Sports Cenre while our Development side travel to Cirencester Town Ladies. Unfortuantely under current guidelines fixtures have to be played behind closed doors.
