2016/2017 Season.
Bristol Rovers Under 18 Academy play against the highly rated Exeter City Academy side at The Cat & Fiddle on Saturday 22nd April 2017.
In last weekend’s fixture James Spruce put Bristol Rovers 1-0 ahead but Rhys Kavanagh and Lewis Collins scored for league leaders Newport County.
This victory for the Exiles Academy side gives them an 8 point lead at the top of Merit League One. They have now scored over 20 goals as a consequence of set-pieces this season.
Byron Anthony’s Newport County Academy side are proving to be the surprise package in the Youth Alliance Merit League One this season. They are finding a way to win games by the odd goal or two and remain undefeated with three games left to play.
