Development Squad defender Jordan Williams has signed a contract extension with the Club.

The former Charlton and Southend United youngster joined Chris Hargreaves’ squad in August and played regularly for the Development squad at the start of the season, but injury has prevented him from playing in recent weeks.

Speaking about Jordan’s contract extension, Development Squad Manager Chris Hargreaves said, “Jordan is a player with a lot of potential and someone that has impressed us since joining in the summer.”

“He now knows that there’s a period of real hard work ahead of him, to get himself fully fit and to demonstrate what he is capable of doing in a consistent run of games.”

“Jordan has been unlucky with injuries during his time at the Club so far, but once fully fit he is an exciting prospect and one I’m looking forward to working with.”

The Development squad take on Bristol City on Thursday evening in the Central League Cup at Weston Super Mare, kick off 7pm.
